OFFICIAL LAUNCH! - UPDATE3

LAYDEES & GENTLEMEN & CHILDREN OF ALL AGES...

IS NOW ONLINE

& READY FOR YOUR SUBMISSIONS!

AT http://majorglitch.net/

in 1996, i wrote a 69 minute song with over 500 verses called "The Devil Glitch". engineered by the formidable Scott Anthony, the Guinness Book of World Records declared it to be the "World's Longest Pop Song".

...but 69 minutes ain't long enough. thanks to the web, it is now possible to stretch the song to ridiculous lengths...which is where you come in. this is an open call for anyone to create a 2-3 minute chunk which will be edited into the original version until its running time is...well, who knows?

please visit the site for more info, composition tools and to hear streaming audio of the song in its current state (now clocking in at 1:35:58 thanks to submissions by R. Stevie Moore, Ralph Carney, Dusty Wright, FLAtRich and others).

if you aren't a muso, lyrical submissions based on the song's lyric of "Sometimes you can fix something by..." are also welcome.

[ ASIDE: re: lyrics - it is my hope that folks who submit chunks will write their own lyrics based on the song's theme of "Sometimes you can fix something by...". therefore, submissions that recycle lyrics already used in the song will not be accepted. the whole point of this project is for you to bring your own life experience into the mix. there were some left over lyrics posted on the site, but they have been used already...so please put on your thinking caps, put a sheet of paper into the ol' Remington and tell me what you know! or...don't be shy about trolling for a collaborator via the Forum page. this project was also always about getting as many folks involved
as possible - the original had...what?...14 different backing tracks? so hook up!]

enjoy!
