JOIE DE JOUR: am suddenly starting to find NYC enjoyable again vs. a place to get the hell out of.

NEVER BE AT THE WRONG PARTY:

1) GENE D. PLUMBERS:
For all of us who love Gene Turnonis and the Plumbers (although he prefers "D. Plumbers," a construction that just doesn't do it for me) and remember when they played more often, at Court Street and then The Elysian (some wonderful nights were had, take my word for it) this is great news. D. Plumbers are doing a show at the Elks Club this Friday, February 6, 7pm to 11:30.
Three and a half hours of music, I mean really, who does that anymore? Twenty bucks now, twenty-five at the door for United Cerebral Palsy and the Jubilee Center. As I understand it, we're against cerebral palsy and for the Jubilee Center.

2) DOTS WILL ECHO:
Sunday Afternoons thanks all of you for the wonderful turnout at ourshows. We'll be playing again at Goodbye Blue Monday, 1087 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY this Wednesday, Feb.11 around 10pm.

3) MARTI JONES DIXON:

4) LIFE IN A BLENDER:
Life in a Blender will be playing a deluxe acoustic two-hour set at Barbes in Brooklyn (6th Avenue and 9th Street) on Monday, February 16, from 7 pm - 9pm. We’ll be open for requests of all kinds, so e-mail now so we might learn them (donrauf@aol.com). The show is free other than the price of your soul, but how much is that well-compromised soul of yours worth any way? When you grow up on a diet of lies like you, it’s no wonder your soul is worth less than a photograph of an old feather. If mother didn’t like you so much, I would flush you like last night’s Corsican pate. You know I like you; I just have a horrible reaction when I’m around you.

Kids are welcome!! All ages.

Call Don at 206 295 6024 for more information.

cb...where are you?
